William Carl "Will" Penci, 16, passed away on September 13, 2017 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. Born on November 5, 2000 in Newport News, Virginia; he was the cherished son of Richard William Penci and Patricia Morrissette Penci, of Raleigh.

Will attended York Elementary School, Daniels Middle School, Leesville Road Middle School and currently was a Junior at Leesville Road High School. William Carl "Will" Penci, 16, passed away on September 13, 2017 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. Born on November 5, 2000 in Newport News, Virginia; he was the cherished son of Richard William Penci and Patricia Morrissette Penci, of Raleigh.

Will attended York Elementary School, Daniels Middle School, Leesville Road Middle School and currently was a Junior at Leesville Road High School. He was a black belt in Karate, studying under the Karate International of West Raleigh Dojo. He was known for his love of animals, karate, video games, reading and his writings. He was strong, kind, optimistic and always smiling.

He is lovingly remembered by his parents, Rich and Trish Penci; by his grandparents: Louis and Diane Penci; by his aunts and uncles: Cindy (Bob) Schmidt, Doug (Marjie) Morrissette, Carl (Lynn) Morrissette, Judy (Wally) Cash, Mary (Mark) Davis and Adele (Billy) Gurley; by his cousins: Shannon (Spencer) Butler and their children, Kase and Kendall, Lindsay (Ryan) Hagerty and their children Kylie and Mason, Meredith (Rob) Powell and their children, Shelby and Jordan, Daniel and David Morrissette, Neil, Jessica and Lee Morrissette, Austin and Jared Davis, Victoria York and Michael Torres; and by many other family and friends, including his furry siblings: Sampson, Ebony, Harley and Diego.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Ernest and Fay Morrissette.

A Memorial Service Celebrating Will's Life will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 6 pm at Mitchell Funeral Home (7209 Glenwood Avenue). Family will receive friends following the service.
