Daisy Renfrow Radford died April 1, 2015, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Hardy Harris "Cotton" Radford. Daisy is survived by one son, C. Daisy Renfrow Radford died April 1, 2015, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Hardy Harris "Cotton" Radford. Daisy is survived by one son, C. Harris Radford and wife Kathee, of Tybee Island, GA; grand-daughter, Lou Radford Schafer and husband, Michael, of New Mexico; four brothers, Aaron Renfrow and wife, Reba, of Swansboro, NC; Edgar Renfrow, of Kenly, NC and MD, Fredrick Renfrow and wife, Georgia, of Greensboro, NC; Hilton Renfrow and wife, Phyllis, of Kenly, NC; three sisters, Clyda Renfrow Rheny, of Atlanta, GA, Edith Renfrow Creech, of Midlothian, VA, Faye Renfrow McDonald and husband, Dr. Harrison, of Solana Beach, CA; many nieces, nephews and great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Daisy was born in Johnston County, NC, the year 1922, the daughter of the late James Vester and Delia Lewis Renfrow. She graduated from Glendale High School in 1939, continued her education at Atlantic Christian College, now Barton College in Wilson, NC. There Daisy received her BA Degree in education. After teaching in elementary education, Daisy studied at East Carolina University, where she earned her Masters Degree in 1958. She served in the educational system as teacher and Principal for the state of North Carolina for 40 years.

Daisy was active in the Women's Club of Raleigh, also as a docent at the Governor's Mansion, and enjoyed volunteering at the art museum in Raleigh.

Visitation with the family will be Friday, April 3, from 6:00-8:00pm at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Ave., Raleigh, NC 27612. The funeral will be at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday, April 4, at 11:00am. A private interment will take place at Raleigh Memorial Park Mausoleum. Daisy's Pastor, Reverend David Mallory will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hillyer Memorial Church (Disciples of Christ) 718 Hillsborough Street, Raleigh, NC 27603, where Daisy and her husband were long-time active members.

The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the wonderful staff at Springmoor-Stewart Health Center, where Daisy was cared for with dignity and medical expertise.
